G/Fore Golf Apparel
G/Fore golf apparel has burst onto the golf scene since being established in 2011. With well-known brands like Nike, Adidas, Peter Millar, and more, the golf apparel industry is not an easy entry. G/Fore has put its own unique twists on shoes, shirts, hats, and just about every piece of clothing a golfer could want. In this blog, we will dive into what makes G/Fore different from other brands and why the brands popularity has grown so much.
Shoes
When it comes to shoes, Nike, FootJoy, and Adidas have had a stranglehold on the industry for the longest time. Now, although this is still true and G/Fore does not have large pieces of the pie, popularity around looks, and comfort have been buzzing around G/Fore. Nike and Adidas have shifted away from the classic look and more so to the sporty athletic looks of their running shoes, whereas FootJoy has held their brand image and represents the classic golf shoe look that many of our favorite players sported.
G/Fore has adapted to the market and provides players with both classic looks in their “Gallivanter” model, sporty, athletic looks in their “MG4” model, and an in-between representation in their “G.112” models. All three different types of shoes are centered around their signature textured insoles, which provide ultimate comfort. Even for the “Gallivanter” model, which are made from very high-quality leather, these insoles make walking in the shoes a breeze.
The most interesting aspect of the G/Fore lines of shoes, and really the brand as a whole, is how G/Fore has portrayed itself as a premium golf brand. All three models retail for $225, which is far above the average cost of golf shoes. With this brand image, consumers view G/Fore as a must have brand rather than just a new golf clothing company. More and more players are seen wearing G/Fore shoes and as new models continue to be released, this trend will certainly continue.
Shirts & Pants
Although shoes are likely the most popular product G/Fore presents to the market, there is plenty to be said about the company’s shirts and pants. Made from four-way stretch and designed for maximized breathability, the perforated shirts, tour pants, and maverick shorts offer players some fantastic outer-wear. Crafted from many designs, the color options and looks are certainly of quality and enhance that premium brand image. For those not familiar with G/Fore’s shirts/pants, we would compare them to a Peter Milar quality with a newer age twist when it comes to the styles of the apparel.
Accessories
Last but not least, G/Fore’s golf accessories continue the trend of quality new products for the golf space. Their hats are extremely comfortable and include sweat resistant insides for hot days out on the course. Additionally, G/Fore has simplified and reimagined the looks of golf hats, often time keying simple logos like “BH” for Bay Hill for example. These new and unique twists to what players are used to, just gives G/Fore a leg up on other brands that stick to the basics. Hats are not the only accessories G/Fore offers however, as belts, gloves, socks, and even golf bags are available through the G/Fore website.
Our Opinion
G/Fore is an incredible brand, and we see it taking more and more market share moving forward. Every product is made from quality and for golfer’s preferences. From head to toe, players can rely on this “new” golf brand to deliver for them through all four seasons. G/Fore is an absolutely incredible apparel company, and we highly recommend that the GreenSeeker community give them a try, especially the shoes.
